An Evening with Luke

For OSL members, Luke is our man! As we know, a number of Jesus’ recorded healings are also recorded in the other gospels. Yet Luke, with his medical background brings a unique perspective. Indeed a key focus of his gospel is around Jesus’ healings. This includes the ones with which we are familiar. There’s other’s too, less obvious but nevertheless having healing components, along with the parables he told. What are these, and what relevance do they have for today? There’s a challenge too, from his gospel.

 You are invited to share this evening with the Rev Derek Lightbourne,  National Warden of New Zealand OSL. Derek has engaged in post-graduate study on Luke’s perspective of Jesus’ healings. He brings a long experience in healing ministry, including previous ministry in the US.

There will also be prayer ministry opportunity.
